2nd Annual Holiday Showcase a Success!

This years Student Holiday Showcase, hosted by the Moscow Chamber of Commerce, was a lot of FUN! We had an even bigger turn out than last year and everyone who performed did an excellent job. Just like last year, our performers drew people in from the parade outside.

Congratulations to ALL of our young, and young-at-heart students who performed. Everyone did a wonderful job and we really enjoyed hearing you play!

Celebrating Student Achievement • The Musical Ladder System®

Many of you have noticed our signs announcing something new! We are always looking for ways to give you MORE in your music lessons, and this is going to be BIG. Starting in the next few weeks, we are teaming up with a licensed system to show how much we appreciate you, and to make your lessons extra-special. Kids and Teens will love the awesome wristbands and trophies. And parents, you’ll LOVE how motivated your kids will be to practice! Heck, we think a lot of our "big kids" (adults) will love them too.

Moscow Music Academy is one of the first schools in the country (and the ONLY one of two music schools in the Inland Northwest) that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets, trophies AND certificates for completing musical milestones and tests with the Musical Ladder System®. It was created by my friend and colleague Marty Fort, has a patent pending, and is being used by schools nationwide. Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool “Musical Ladder System®” wristbands that they can show off to their friends.

More importantly when our students have a test coming up, they practice more, their parents are proud, their teachers are proud, and everybody wins! There is much more information coming in the next few weeks so stay tuned.

Remember: Tuition is based on an average of 4 lesson weeks each month throughout the year MINUS major holidays. Students do NOT pay for holiday weeks, and these weeks are NOT included in your tuition.

Need to Reschedule Your Lesson? Here's How...

Good News! Thanks to many of your awesome referrals our enrollment grew again this fall! For those of you that have Monday, Tuesday and Thursday lessons, you've no doubt noticed that the waiting area is fuller than before and that lesson rooms are all in full use.

This also means we need to manage scheduling more closely so that we don't double book new incoming students with ones that have asked their teacher for a reschedule.

To avoid miscommunication and double-bookings we are asking that our students and parents communicate with the office and director for all administrative matters:

Cancellations and Reschedule Requests must be made 48 hours before your regular lesson day and time. If you need to cancel due to a last minute emergency, please call the academy director or her assistant at 208) 882-6733. They will do her best to accommodate all requests.

All other Cancellations and Reschedule Requests must be done through our convenient online Lesson Reschedule form on our website's Reschedule Request page.

We want our new students to enjoy the same quality experience when starting lessons as each of you did. By following this new system you will be helping a great deal as we continue to grow.
